OptiRep ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name through Firebase Authentication. You may also sign in with Apple or Google, in which case we receive only the information you authorize.

Workout Data

We collect workout information you generate through the app, including exercise types, repetition counts, workout duration, and form scores. This data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to Firebase for cloud backup.

Camera Data

The app uses your device's camera for real-time pose detection during exercises. All camera processing happens entirely on-device using Apple's frameworks and MediaPipe. No images, video, or camera data is ever transmitted to our servers, stored remotely, or shared with third parties.

Health Data

With your permission, the app may read and write workout data to Apple Health (HealthKit). This data is handled according to Apple's HealthKit guidelines and is never shared with third parties.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage patterns and improve stability. This data is anonymized and does not include personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and personalize your workout experience
To generate personalized workout programs based on your goals
To track your fitness progress over time
To enable social features (leaderboards, duels, friend feed) if you opt in
To improve app performance and fix bugs
To process in-app purchases and subscriptions

3. Data Storage and Security

Your workout data is primarily stored locally on your device using SwiftData. If you have a paid subscription, data may be synced to Firebase Cloud Firestore for backup and cross-device access. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Firebase services comply with SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 standards.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only in the following circumstances:

Social Features: If you opt into social features, your display name, level, workout stats, and achievements may be visible to your friends within the app.
Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, data storage, and analytics. These services process data on our behalf under strict privacy agreements.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Camera Access: You can revoke camera permissions at any time in your device settings. The app will still function for manual workout tracking.
Health Data: You can manage HealthKit permissions in Settings > Health > Data Access.
Social Features: You can use the app without enabling social features.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at optirep.support@gmail.com.
Data Export: Paid subscribers can export their workout data from within the app.

6. Children's Privacy

OptiRep is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy within the app or on this page. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
